Spa Habitat Health and Sterilization Policies for COVID-19
July 15, 2021 Update:
CDC guidance states that all vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks, either indoors or outdoors. We request that all spa guests follow CDC guidance. (We will not ask for vaccination records or proof of COVID-19 immunity.) Thank you for your consideration.
For the comfort and safety of our guests, Spa Habitat employees will wear masks during your service upon customer request.
Please check back for the latest policies, as national and state guidelines and recommendations continue to evolve.
General COVID-19 Policies and Procedures:
All Spa Habitat locations are open for all spa services, including massage, facials, waxing, body wraps and scrubs, and foot rituals. Below is some information regarding our policies, procedures, and extreme sanitation measures we are taking to help keep everyone safe.
Sterilization.
Spa Habitat always strives to keep a clean, sterile and sanitary environment for our guests and team members. We follow and exceed all strict sanitary policies and procedures as required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for massage therapy and esthetic services. All tools, utensils, magnifying lamps, hot stones, and other such supplies are all sterilized prior to each use. All linens are washed with soap, bleach, and agitation, and dried completely and thoroughly on high heat, which acts to sterilize the linens prior to each use. During this time, we are taking extra special care to sanitize door handles, pens, clip boards, restrooms, fixtures, massage tables, headrests, and all other touch points consistently throughout the day with sanitary wipes. And of course, employee hands are washed and sterilized consistently and thoroughly before every touch or interaction.
We are offering our pre-service heated herbal neck wraps as an option to guests at this time. Each heated wrap is sterilized with ultraviolet light prior to each use.
Most spa locations have a relaxation room and an apothecary for waiting before or in between services, providing several choices to maximize social distancing opportunities. Guests may also choose to wait outside or in their cars until their appointment time is ready.
Spa Employee Health.
All Spa Habitat employees who test positive for COVID-19, or who develop symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, sinus issues or other related symptoms, will be required to stay at home until healthy or cleared by a doctor.
Customer Health.
For the safety of our teams and our other guests, any guests who have any symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, sinus issues or other related symptoms should not enter Spa Habitat until doctor clearance is provided. We reserve the right to refuse appointments to any guests with a fever, cough, or other symptoms. Thank you for your cooperation on these matters.
